The GX trim gets the Skyactiv-G 2.5 engine, delivering 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Pairing with the GX's engine is a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive drivetrain. Feature highlights of the GX include 17-inch silver metallic alloy wheels, body-coloured power-operated heated door mirrors, rear roof spoiler, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a 10.25-inch display, heated front seats, and cloth upholstery.
Upgrading to the GS trim adds a cylinder deactivation feature to the engine to improve fuel economy, and it gets the same 17-inch silver metallic alloy wheels as the GX trim. The GS trim features include gloss black front grille, automatic headlight leveling, front wiper de-icer, a six-speaker audio system, additional two USB ports in rear armrest, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, power liftgate, rear center armrest, and leatherette-trimmed upholstery with grand lux suede trim.
You will find the same powertrain as the GS with the Kuro trim level, but the wheel option switches to 19-inch black metallic alloy wheels for enhanced looks. Highlights of the Kuro trim consist of a power-operated moonroof, signature wing grille surround, automatic dual-zone climate control, rear passenger air vents, advanced keyless entry, front centre console armrest with red stitching, reversible trunk board, driver's seat memory system, 7-inch LCD, and garnet red leather-trimmed upholstery.
The GT differentiates itself from the rest of the lineup by having 19-inch alloy wheels with machined spokes, a polished finish, and dark-painted pockets. The GT trim level features include power-folding exterior mirrors, LED signature lighting, ten-speaker Bose sound system, navigation, wireless phone charger, HomeLink, leather-trimmed upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and Active Driving Display.
The Sport Design trim level has an option to switch out the standard powertrain for the Skyactiv-G 2.5 T with dynamic pressure turbo. The optional engine has 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque while using 93 octane fuel, or 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque when using 87 octane fuel. The Sport Design trim rides on 19-inch black metallic alloy wheels that perfectly match the trim's styling. This trim level features brilliant black lower bumpers, brilliant black exterior accents, increased diameter exhaust outlets, LED cargo light, LED overhead console light, black leather-trimmed upholstery, red stitching interior accents, and black interior roof lining.
As the top trim level of the lineup, the Signature has the turbocharged powertrain as standard, giving it excellent performance and a thrilling driving experience. The Signature rides on 19-inch light grey high-luster alloy wheels, making its appearance second-to-none. Some of this trim's offerings are a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, front foot lamps, Nappa leather-trimmed upholstery, premium cross-stitching detail on steering wheel, Abachi wood-trimmed door panels, satin chrome-plated interior accents, and LED-illuminated glove box.
The 2022 CX-5 is equipped with a suite of safety and driver-assist features to keep you and your family safe.
